I feel like when people say Infinite is amazing, they're getting tunnel vision on the story at the expense of everything else.
That's another thing I didn't like- crappy weapons! I was gonna say wait til you get to experience all of the weapons, but 2/3 of them suck anyway and are disappointing. I kept waiting for it to "get really good" and it never did for me. You could continue and maybe you'll like the end, but since you're 5 hours in and not enjoying it, I dunno. I couldn't empathize with him or immerse myself within his character at all. The story wasn't enough to pull me in, and I totally agree with Booker knowing more than you and being an asshole. Also, the ending battle was fucking ridiculously hard for me and frustrated me so bad. I didn't hate the game, it was alright, but I slogged through it at some points. The story wasn't fantastic, the ending was out there but seemed to be trying too hard to be philosophical, and the gameplay was fairly bland. So many of those upgrades involve the skyhook too and I never used any of them. The "sky" environment didn't feel like anything, and the skyhook was just a chore to use for me. The game was sort of fun, but I found myself, like you, bored. It's like its a sin not to like Infinite. If you don't like this game, people act like you just killed a man.
